Find your own connection between all three texts (Gods of Jade and Shadow; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Hunt for the Wilderpeople), such as: the hero’s journey, gender, women’s roles, leadership, rebellion, finding one’s own path, men’s roles, patan (duty to community/family), family, etc.
Write a thesis-driven essay that analyzes a connection between all three texts. To support your thesis statement, incorporate paraphrased or quoted passages from the movies and novel. 4-6 pages. The use of outside sources is welcomed but not required.
