What Cuyamaca Librarians CAN do

The CC Paralegal program is designed to prepare the student to function as a paralegal (legal assistant) in a law firm or the law department of a government agency or corporation.

  • As librarians and not lawyers, we can cannot give legal advice (i.e forms to fill out)), or legal opinions, (such as how a statute might apply to particular facts).  To do so could be considered the unauthorized practice of law.  
  • Librarians cannot respond to questions on how to interpret your assignments
  • Librarians cannot proof read your assignment for accuracy or grammar.
